Hi! I'm getting so excited about my cruise (Westerndam 11/13/05). I need someone to refresh my memory. How many times around the promenade is a mile on the Westerndam?

Westerdam should be the same as Zuiderdam and if my memory serves me correctly, 3 laps would equal 1 mile.

 

To my fellow walkers, am I right? Or am I confusing this with another ship?

That's my memory as well. Three times around on Vista = approx 1 mile. We wear pedometers when we walk and we find the lap measurements are not exactly precise.....not that the average, everyday pedometer is a precise scientific instrument either. :)

 

On Maasdam, four times around is supposed to be a mile and while it is close, it isn't exactly that.

 

I think it is three and half times around on Rotterdam.

If you get bored with that run just remember, 21 trips around the Lido buffet line = 1 mile as well.

 

I'm still trying to run off the weight I gqained on my first two cruises....yikes
