RNsoon2beNP Posted January 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2016 Looking for reviews on those who have sailed and stayed in room with 2nd floor balconies. In the past we have always sailed much higher up on the ship. I love my balconies, but I have a family of 5. Was weighing the option of 2 rooms vs a suite. And decided to book the family harbor suite which is on the 2nd floor of the vista. I'm sure I'd enjoy the cruise if I had to sleep in the janitor's closetcloset, but would love overs input... Thanks :)

applegam Posted January 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2016 Love the cove balconies! No smell of smoke from someone below you, great view of the water and so private.
Manny13840 Posted January 15, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2016 I've done both one in the high levels (6th deck) and one time in the cove one. For me the cove ones were way better, they are the same size room of the ones above but the best is that on the balcony you're very close the ocean and the view is way more better! And yes more privacy no one from the 5th deck walkway looking at you lol. If you thinking of doing a cove balcony GO FOR IT!.
Naomi John Posted January 15, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 15, 2016 If I was higher, we would have not obtained this shot:
Heirloom Posted January 15, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 15, 2016 Reason we don't even consider cove balconies......is that there are things stickin' out above your head......lifeboats. For most rooms, it means you're in the dark, little sun. Not our cup of tea !
renza Posted January 15, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 15, 2016 The only cabins we will chose on dream class. The cove is so so awesome. It is a must try. U will never want another cabin again.
ATL_Miami_Cruiser Posted January 15, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 15, 2016 (edited) The lowest balcony's are always the best IMO. I never understood why Carnival charges more for a higher decks when the best balcony experience is lower to the water line.
