Baggage allowance

Hi I'm sure I read somewhere a on here that baggage allowance is 23kg but on my booking it says 20kg can anyone clarify .

You only get 23kg if booked into premium on the flight. You may have seen that the max weight in any one case is 23kg. So you can purchase an extra 5kg but have to share it in the other case😕

Just in case (no pun intended) you are advised otherwise - the hand baggage limit is 7kg for cruise customers, whereas it's usually 5kg for other punters.

 

That doesn't appear to be universally known in respect of some Thomsons staff and handling agents.

We have just packed our cases, both around 16kg, and my hand luggage is 5.5kg, so I have highlighted the e-ticket on the passenger details where it says my allowance is 7kg as I have had to prove this in the airport before.

I've heard that story a few times Gill - I believe some folks have taken the brochure with them to educate Thomsons staff etc. if required.
