Restaurant in Barcelona

We are on a cruise in May and there is a overnighter in Barcelona and we would like to go to a restaurant in the evening. If anyone has any recommendations for a good restaurant in Barcelona I would love to hear from you.

Les Quinze Nits in Placa Reial. Situated in a square just off Las Ramblas - on the right hand side about one third of the way up.

There is likely to be a queue outside but it moves quite fast.

I should add that there are other restaurants in the square and none have queues outside. There were waiters trying to tempt us there. Says it all really.

Los Caracoles is a Barcelona institution. Just off the southern end of Las Ramblas. Easily spotted by the chickens cooking on the external wood fired rotisserie.

 

If you aren't there for opening it will be busy, but most locals arrive much later, 9.30-10pm.

 

it is open for lunch and we found it a much more relaxing experience. You will be able to get a table by the open kitchen, which you have to walk through to get to the tables.

The four cats very very good in my last two visits but that was 2-3 years ago although not cheap it is situated somewhere near the Hard Rock Cafe down a narrow road

L' Emperador at the Marina is our favourite especially if it is warm enough to sit outside. It has had a few dodgy reviews on trip advisor however we have always had great food and great service. If you are in that area of town it's well worth a try.

The adria brothers have several restaurants in Barcelona. Google el bulli and their new projects . We went to Pakta and yes it was expensive but amazing.

Every time we visit Barcelona we go to Sensi Tapas bottom of Rambla hang a left on Carrer Ample its retro tapas and you MUST book they also have another two places in Barcelona ,we were advised to go by a family friend who lives there we can't stay away !!! their website shows all three places you wont be sorry if you go ..John/Trish
