cfitch Posted January 18, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2016 From what I found the Star does not have an Adult-Only area. Based on your experience, have you found areas on the ship that have that Adult-Only feeling? Little to no young children, maybe some quiet areas? I am looking at a cruise on the Star during the spring break window and this will be a deciding factor. It isn't that I don't want to be around kids, it's that I want to be able to escape the craziness and find a public space that is more adult oriented occasionally during the trip. TIA. Va. Plumber Posted January 18, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2016 There is a sundeck forward above Deck 12 suites. That probably is the quietest place. You can also book spa pass, which guarantees no kids. There are loungers overlooking the stern.

Rede411 Posted January 18, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2016 I doubt you will find any kids at the Bier Garden on Deck 13 ;)
cfitch Posted January 18, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted January 18, 2016 That is pretty much what my husband was saying too. This will be my first NCL trip.
crash3x Posted January 27, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 27, 2016 Has anyone found any review on experiences on using the thermal suite. I am not sure what to expect.
karoo Posted January 27, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 27, 2016 Star has very few public areas. Spinnaker mid ship which is a fairly dark space and the atrium. Pool deck- that's about it.
tpnebraska Posted January 27, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) The Biergarten is a great place with very few, if any kids. It is high on the ship and there is really nothing there other than the bar (which is awesome). My advice is to head up there for sailaway and check it out. It is a great place to be to get awesome pics going under the Skyway Bridge, if you going out of Tampa. If you just want a quiet place with no kids you can go to the library on deck 12. I don't think that the Star is going to be a lot of families first choice of ships to go on for spring break as it doesn't offer a lot of the perks that the bigger ships do. Which is why I fell in love with it!! Edited January 27, 2016 by tpnebraska change
