I was booked on this voyage, but .... :mad:. Hope she goes around Cape Hoorn in 2018. Meantime I'm waiting, waiting ...

we are due to board the QV on the 22nd at the port everglades.....some paper work says port fort lauderdale . are they one in the same. we are flying in the ft lauderdale air port and will be taking a cab or shuttle to the port terminal. cunard even suggested we make our own way to the ship.....cunard wanted 200.00 as compared to a 15.00 taxi. thanks

Yes, Port Everglades is the port for Fort Lauderdale. Glad you didn't take Cunard up on their offer. It is about a ten minute taxi ride from the airport to the port - $200 is ridiculous!

It was a very swift disembarkation this morning. Assembly in the Verve Cliquot bar for 7:45 and I was at the Avis desk at Hyat Pier 66 by 8:03. Immigration was very quick as they just looked at passports following the fairly slow immigration in Brooklyn on Sunday.
