Astro Flyer Posted January 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) When do late 2017 New Zealand Cruises go on sale? I was thinking for maybe September onwards? In discussions about 2017 summer/fall cruises to the South Pacific, NZ & AUS it's been speculated that they'll be available in April. Yesterday I checked for cruises between Sydney & LA (which includes NZ) and the April 2017 cruise on the Emerald was available. Wastegirl Posted January 24, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2016 I wouldn't do a NZ cruise in September, too cold in the South Island and the weather might be too rough for you to go through the Sounds which is a highlight. We did this trip in late Oct, early Nov a couple of years ago - bitterly cold in the Sounds but mildish for the rest of the trip, specially as we headed further north. But we were lucky the cruise the week before us had many of their ports cancelled due to bad weather and did not get into the Sounds. This year we did the Diamond Princess in early October to the South Pacific and she had just finished a NZ cruise where most of the ports had been cancelled and they didn't even get to the South Island. kuldalai Posted January 24, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2016 The earliest you will get a NZ roundtrip ex Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane is late November as too cold before that down in Fiordland .
