Oasis of the Seas- Conflicting Info

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Just booked a 7 night Eastern Caribbean in August on the Oasis. As I begin my planning, there are a few conflicting details on the ship. I'm looking for some help so I can ensure my planning is all good...... Thanks!

1. I believe dynamic dining was planned for Oasis class, but scrapped. The MDR still is the main attraction.

2. Whether it is Dynamic or MDR- Are there the branded restaurants such as silk, wonderland, the grande?

3. Viking Lounge- Does this still exist? Or, is this now suites?

Thanks again everyone, if RCCL website was more informative I wouldn't have to ask these questions.

Those 3 names are still there 1 on each floor but it's all part of the main dining room with the same menus.
Ahh... Thanks Clarea... Too bad about the viking lounge.

It was our favourite spot to grab a pre dinner drink, because it was always empty. Revenue will trump always, which is I guess is the reason for the change.
Book a Grand Suite or better to have access to Viking Crown.:)

I was on the Oasis yesterday. I loved the ship and I would recommend you get a scheduled dinner time. We had my time dining (Dynamic dining? ) and most people wanted to eat early so there was some waiting and lines... I have another trip booked on Oasis for Dec. and we plan to have a main dining room seating time instead.

As for the Viking crown lounge, it is closed to ONLY suite guests. The Diamond lounge is the old concierge lounge. It is very beautiful but also very crowded.

If at all possible book a suite....LOL... The coastal kitchen has wonderful food!

We had a situation where the 3 other couples we were with, booked a suite. We only booked a JS since we get concierge privileges with diamond +. (we booked a year ahead before the changes took place) Lucky, they let us eat once in the coastal kitchen since we had a JS. Totally worth booking suites on Oasis class from now on......

Oasis 3 floors of dining are the same menu but get traditional dining with a scheduled time. Edited by dasi11
