carribbeanmic Posted January 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2016 We are staying at the Hyatt place across the street from the cruise terminal. Can we walk to embarkation or do we have to take taxi? It looks like the Riverwalk Mall has Cruise ship terminal on their directory. Can we walk thru the mall to get to the terminal? We are bringing only carryon luggage with wheels. Are there areas where pedestrians are prohibited from walking to the terminal.
jgmpuma Posted January 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2016 When you leave the hotel, turn left and go to the end of the block. That is Julia Street. Cross Convention Center Blvd. and follow the walkway to the escalator up to the Riverwalk mall. Cross the mall and to your right you will see double doors. They lead to a covered walkway. Follow the walkway to the end and there will be steps down to ground level. The terminal is right there. It's an easy walk. You will save a few bucks and probably get there in less time than a cab would take.

caribsun Posted January 24, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) Isn't there two terminals ? When I walked through the shopping center and down the steps there was another ship there. The Carnival ship was further down the pier requiring one to walk in the roadway. Edited January 24, 2016 by caribsun
carribbeanmic Posted January 25, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted January 25, 2016 I was wondering about that myself. I hate to have my shipmates waste their steps.
