Weather in Med, late April/Early May

Hi all,

 

We are cruising the med with MSC leaving from Barcelona on the 27th of April.

Just wondering has anyone done this around the same time before? We are wondering what type of weather we should expect on average. Looked up historical weather on Wunderground but its very varied (anywhere between 15 degrees and 30 degrees!)

 

Really looking forward to our cruise and stopping off at all the lovely ports & cities :)

That's about right, the weather could be anything even in May. In Italy for example, it can be cool in Genoa but really hot in Palermo, so it's best to wait until a few weeks before and look at the predicted forecast. Having said that, 15 degrees is still nice when you're walking around so I wouldn't worry too much.

Yes that range is spot on in my experience. Have had cool and wet weather, blistering hot and somewhere in the middle and sometimes all 3 in the same week. Who knows crust it is going to be like this year but it could be worse, you could be coming to the UK!
