NOLA on Valentine's Day with kids

We're arriving in New Orleans on Valentine's Day next month. Trying to figure out dinner with kids (12 & 14 year old) on a night like Valentine's. We're staying in the Garden District, and will have a car, so we could drive if needed.

We need to stay in the moderate $$ range, and since the kids will be with us, it doesn't need to be romantic, lol. Any ideas?

Try Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro, at 2001 St. Charles. The food is pretty good (lots more than just cheesecake), it is kid-friendly and not expensive.

The "romantic" places will be booked.

Thank you! We've eaten there before, and have one where we live, also.

Any other places that are unique to NOLA?

I can't help you with the Garden District but if you can get to the French Quarter this would be my recommendation for a family restaurant, moderately priced, and unique to New Orleans.

I'm not sure if this accurate but I read somewhere that three muses and the Madison allow kids until 10 pm and have live music. I will also have kids (16,19) with me so we were thinking of trying one of these. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

Both of these look interesting too! Thanks-

I would pass on Deanies unless the only way that you enjoy seafood is fried. The food is "okay" but I was not consider uniquely New Orleans nor would I consider it particularly sanitary as I have seen them pluck uneaten boiled potatoes and put them back in regular circulation at other tables.

Ew. The potatoes, not the fried seafood!

Any other dinner suggestions? Also, any idea what finding parking is like in the French Quarter? Last time we were in New Orleans with a car was 1998!
