jason3695 Posted January 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2016 I've seen a few threads touch on this but I wanted to just ask everyone....I'm about to do the Regal Princess in the Baltic and I would be using a combination of SPB and Alla tours as well as one or two Princess tours as well. We are bringing our 2 year old. Last summer we brought him to the Mediterranean but we did only ship tours on the big busses so we didn't need a car seat. Will we be ok with these smaller tours in places like Oslo, Talinn, and Helsinki with no car seat?
Desdichado62 Posted January 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2016 For Finland I have found this information: When transporting a child under 135 cm in a private car, delivery car or a lorry, a restraint seat must be used, if the seat belts are fitted in the car, or the child seat can otherwise be fitted into the car. If no restraint seat can be fitted, the child in the age of 3 years at least, may not sit on the front seat. A child under 3 years may not be transported in a car at all without a restraint seat. The only exception for this are the taxis. All the restraint seats must meet the minimum criteria of the certain type approval. http://www.autoliitto.fi/in_english/motoring_in_finland/traffic_information/ http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/touring_tips/finland.pdf It seems to be very similar rules/laws in Norway and Estonia: http://www.vegvesen.no/_attachment/307291/binary/540918 http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/touring_tips/estonia.pdf Child restraint seats have to be used in your case.
