jennbk28 Posted October 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2005 Does anyone have any details on what the $120 value coupon book has in it? I'm going on my 1st Princess cruise on Oct 22nd and was wondering what I could expect in the booklet. Thanks so much! Jenn
patlanta Posted October 7, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2005 Following is an example of what was in the booklet earlier this year. Ours was slightly diferent but pretty much useless for us; like a bottle of Dom Perignon half price after you purchase the first bottle. On the other hand, people have been offering to buy the coupon booklets on another Web site. Buy one get one free Bloody Mary or Champagne Mimosa Buy one get one free Martini Spa Discounts 10$ off with $100 purchase at princess boutique Buy3 8x10's portraits get one free Second 15 min. of internet usage free. Toto2Kansas Posted October 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2005 We had a couple of them on the Golden Princess in August and except for a 2 for 1 drink coupon that DH used and a casino 2 for 1 at the tables for a very small amount, the rest was a waste of paper for us. We just threw it away.
Lacy Posted October 7, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 7, 2005 This is the first that I have heard of this booklet. Where does one get such a coupon book. Laurie
Toto2Kansas Posted October 7, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 7, 2005 Usually they are sent by your travel agent. That is where our last one came from. Just one of those things they advertise, that for booking with them you get this great coupon book, which it is NOT.

CruizerBill Posted October 7, 2005 #7 Share Posted October 7, 2005 Hey Toto. We, too, are heading down to the Caribbean in the next couple months. How you and Jim been? We took your advice this time and got a portside balcony so we can chuckle at the drunken buffoons stumbling back to the ship while in port. Sorry for being off topic... Toto2Kansas Posted October 7, 2005 #8 Share Posted October 7, 2005 Hey Bill, glad to see you. Lost your email address in the computer crash I had, that is why you have not heard from us lately. The CD you sent of Tahiti was fantastic, sure do appreciate you sending that to us. Still trying to get the DH to purchase me a camera like you used, no luck yet. Maybe Santa will be nice to me. :) I see you are taking a Chirstmas Cruise? Hope you packed the 'kid replent' LOL

Toto2Kansas Posted October 8, 2005 #13 Share Posted October 8, 2005 Call your travel agent and see if they can arrange for one to be waiting in your room. They really aren't worth going to much extra trouble for though, trust me on this.
Rare Coral Posted October 8, 2005 #14 Share Posted October 8, 2005 I agree with Toto - I have received several of these and have not used one coupon. They are worthless IMO.
cruise182 Posted October 8, 2005 #15 Share Posted October 8, 2005 A CC poster/friend sent me some of the coupons. A very nice gesture! Anyway the buy 1 get one drinks are great. The 5$ play at the casino is great too. As one poster said every little bit helps!! I have a few that I will not be using if anyone would like them I will be happy to pass them along 4 coupons $10 off purchase of $100 or more in the boutiques 4 coupons $15 off body composition analysis at the spa 3 coupons buy 3 8"x10" portraits get a fourth free 2 coupons free second set of prints I don't want to split them up but rather send them to someone who will use most of them. Drop me an email if interested. They expire end of 2005
Taters Posted October 8, 2005 #16 Share Posted October 8, 2005 These sound like any "Fun Book" type coupon book that they hand out on the streets of Las Vegas. The drink coupons are the only ones worth anything, while most of the rest are a waste of paper. Taters
Chat Noir Posted October 10, 2005 #17 Share Posted October 10, 2005 One online agent I checked prices with was advertising this booklet as part of the package of why to book through them. I found our cruise cheaper elsewhere, by much more than the $125 value of the coupon booklet and am glad to see that we didn't miss great coupons by skipping the higher priced TA. Thanks for posting this... It'd left me a little unsettled as to what we HAD missed by booking without the booklet incentive!
