beerman2 Posted January 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2016 Only 1 excursion shows up for Tortola on My NCL. If you google NCL excursions to Josh Van Dyke it will show you 18 to choose from. Hopefully this will help others in their planning! Thanks to cruzface (Dave) for the heads up!
Demonyte Posted January 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Only 1 excursion shows up for Tortola on My NCL. If you google NCL excursions to Josh Van Dyke it will show you 18 to choose from. Hopefully this will help others in their planning! Just because NCL generally offers excursions in any given port, it does not mean that they would be available on every single cruise calling that port - some excursions are only available on specific weekdays etc. So while one can make premilinary plans based on general information found via internet search, they should also be prepared to the fact that their selection is not available even onboard. Carolina Girl 99 Posted January 25, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2016 If you are able to book the "Escape to Jost Van Dyke" excursion on the Rebel Yell, I highly recommend it!!
beerman2 Posted January 25, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted January 25, 2016 True! Guess I will call NCL and see what they say.Not that it will be correct either. Hoping the site I looked at is more accurate than My NCL!
casofilia Posted January 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 25, 2016 Have you actually booked the tour that appears on your MyNCL? If so, your MyNCL will only show that and any others in the port that you could also book; that is two half day ones for example. Mike
beerman2 Posted January 25, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted January 25, 2016 Mike No haven't booked anything, we are not sailing until Oct., but when I look at excursions available for our date only 1 shows as being available from Tortola! Virgin Baths. But when I google NCL excursions on the Escape it show JVD as well as others. Just trying to figure things out.
sweetp0618 Posted January 26, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 26, 2016 I had the same problem - many excursions weren't showing on the list. Once they opened the booking window (at 90 days from sailing) they all showed up.
beerman2 Posted January 26, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted January 26, 2016 I had the same problem - many excursions weren't showing on the list. Once they opened the booking window (at 90 days from sailing) they all showed up. That's what I kinda thought 90 days like speciality rest. I did read yesterday 60 days though. Wait and see at least we have it narrowed down for our short dat in Tortola !
UKLloyd Posted January 26, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 26, 2016 Just out if interest, how many days in advance do things open up for booking for haven and non haven guests?
paradiseawaitsme Posted January 26, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 26, 2016 Thanks for posting this info. Not cruising until October either. At least this gives an idea of some tours they offer. Hopefully the ones we are interested in will be available when they open the window. Have a great day.:)
Demonyte Posted January 26, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 26, 2016 Just out if interest, how many days in advance do things open up for booking for haven and non haven guests? There is no set time for excursions, they appear randomly to be booked - usually several months in advance. Only entertainment (megaships only) and restaurant reservations open 100 days before the cruise for full suites and 90 days before for the rest.
