Kotor - DIY to Perast

Recommended Posts

We will be in Kotor from 8am to 8pm in May. I would like to hike to the fortress in the morning and then go to Perast and Our Lady of the Rock church afterwards. I know there are some great tour companies and guides, but I do not want to set up a tour in advance. I want to be able to just grab a cab or boat to Perast when I'm ready to go. Is that doable? And will there be cabs in Perast to bring us back? Is there a ferry or something like that? Thanks.

We stayed in Kotor on a land trip and Perast is not far away. There are taxis where the ship's dock and I think there was also a taxi rank in Perast, but you could arrange a pick up time with the taxi driver.

We didn't go over to the island, but saw the boats going across and they seemed frequent.

I am sure somebody else will be give you details on taxi costs and boat timings.
