Winter Dream Cruise out of New Orleans

We are leaving out on the Carnival Dream in mid February out of New Orleans. Will the pool be usable on embarkation day or will it be too cold? We have a couple of kids that will be eager to get in the pool. Thanks!

Looks like the average high/low for New Orleans in Feb is 65/46.

Too cold for me to swim! Maybe I can secure a spot in the hot tub.

We'll be leaving out of New Orleans on the Dream Feb. 14. I think the pools will be too cold. They may warm up the following day once out in the gulf. The pools aren't heated.

We are leaving New Orleans on March 13th. How will they be then and how long will it take before we are seeing typical Carribbean weather?

Depends I'm leaving Monday and its forecasted mid 70's. I've left in February a few years ago with snow falling.

I wouldn't count on the being able to use the pool. Typical lows in the 40s, highs in the 60s in February. I'll be coming down from Kansas city so it should feel pretty good to me, but I don't think I'll try out the pool on the first day.
