Coral Questions.......Cabins and Casino

I booked AC guarantees (because it was the only way to get a mini-suite) on the Coral last week for myself and DH and sis and BIL. I just check the cruise personalizer and we've been assigned cabins already. D726 for us and C206 for them. What is the good and bad (if any) on these cabins. What are the odds of the cabin assignment changing before we sail in Jan.? And BIL wants to know if there's a 3 card poker table in the casino?

Thanks

The good point to D726 is that you have a great open view to the aft. The bad part is that anyone who goes out on that back deck on Dolphin and then walks over to your side will have a wide open view of your balcony. We were on Emerald and even though we had a balcony we often went out there to watch the sunsets. I noticed most people walk to each side just to check the view. You are also a LONG way from the food. That is the bad news or the good news depending on you! We were 11 rooms from the back and I really liked it back there. It was very smooth.

Thanks for the response. I don't mind others having a view of my balcony as long as they don't mind what they see......;)

I thought I read somewhere something about a window washer thingee that might obstruct view, but I can't remember what deck was mentioned. Anyone know?

Yes they do currently have a 3 card poker table in the casino.

We are in D527 - we LOVE our mini suite.

All of the new perks are in place for the mini's except for the new bed linens and duvets.

You must ask for the champage and the pillow's.

So far we haven't been able to access the back deck - so you may have all the privacy you want. We do the Panama Canal tomorrow so will see if they open it up then.

Entertainment is lacking - as is the dining room - tonight is Continental night - which is one of our favorites though :)

Not a strong CD on this cruise.

LOVE our room Steward!!!

Just did the wine tasting and it was terrific.

Pools are great - especially like the small pool in the aft on Deck 13 - I think that's the deck number. Something very neat is the covered pool on this ship - the area around it is air conditioned that's a first for us.

You will enjoy this ship - she is GORGEOUS!

Internet is not working well at all - have tried the last 4 days.

Hey hugger, even though the sign says no admittance at the aft balconies........they dont mind if you go through, we asked! also, if you dont mind, say hi to all the bar staff in La Patisserie from sandy and royce. we loved them, were always so cheerful and big smiles, especially Liviu, he is leaving to go home to romania, this is his last week aboard!

katmash,

Coral Princess is my favorite ship!

I was in minisuite B210 on Panama cruise last Nov. which is the deck above and 3 cabins backfrom where yours will be. Your C206 is quite forward but we loved our portside forward mini on that cruise as access to the front open deck on Baja for photos was a few steps away. Also, I was in C221 mini on Alaska cruise this May/June, also fairly forward but on starboard side. Again, great location for accessing the forward open deck on Caribe.

In the forward cabins, make sure that you do actually go to the aft and onto the open decks to see the view of the queue of boats and ships waiting to transit the locks. Also, for the ones in the aft cabin, they should come forward to see the views from the front of the ship.

The casino on this ship is a cute London theme with double decker buses, red phone booths, and more.

We went on both the forward and aft open decks on Baja, and the forward decks on Caribe---didn't try other aft decks. There are signs but we ignored them---they don't actually say "No Admittance"--- the ships videographer was out there with us filming us and the Canal last November! If I am correct the signs say "Emergency Exit", but not "Emergency Exit Only". There is a door from the hall to a little anteway, then another door out to the deck---I think there is a sign on that door that says something like "beware of high winds" or something to that effect. Especially in Alaska, many of us were out there taking photographs and watching with our binos.
