Carnival Live Concert Questions

Thinking of taking my son and kids on the Pride Carnival live with Journey. While Nassau is not a thrilling port to us, we all love Journey.

Can anyone explain how the concerts work, do you have guaranteed seats, how long do they last, are they actually on the ship, etc.

I can take them to see Journey 3 hours from home and a whole lot cheaper, but I would prefer taking them on a cruise.

Thanks for your help.

The concerts are on the ship

Ours started at 9 PM

1 hour 15-30 long

seats are first come first serve unless you buy a vip pass.

It a meet and greet down front seating.

We saw Lady A last year

We are seeing KC and the Sunshine band this March on the

Breeze.

I wouldn't make a special trip to see them

but since they are there I think we will check them out.

this was not a concert series cruise when we booked.

we were supposed to leave Cozumel at 6.

it been change to 11 now

We picked the cruise because of the concert. As someone

else already said seats are not assigned but we stood

in line at the doors about an hr to hr an half to get in

and we were up top right at the glass. I think this

is one of the best concerts I've been to with the

exception of the Eagles, and I"ve

seen Journey about 6 times over the years

in big concert venues. You can see then

up close it was a very small area and

it felt personal.

If I didn't already have a 7 day on the conquest

with others going I would book it in a min

just for the concert nevermind the ports.

But unless you are also wanting to do a cruise

regardless of the ports then it's probably not

worth it.

it would not be worth it .

Get in line EARLY if you want a decent seat... at least an hour and a half before concert time... 2 hours or more if seating is important to you. We saw Lady A from the nosebleed seats, upper deck, all the way against the wall... had to really search to find two seats together. We lined up maybe 40 to 45 minutes before show time.

The decision as been made for us......the oldest two grandkids are in college and reminded me today that finals are the week I was looking at. Never gave it a thought!

But, I would like to thank everyone for their replies and now I know how the concert cruises work.

We saw REO Speedwagon a few years ago when Carnival Live was brand new. The band boards and leaves at the same port. In this case it was Cozumel. We got there about a half hour before the show and sat half up in the upper balcony. That was fine , because we are not huge fans but we just wanted to see a show in that setting. It was worth the money. They played an energetic hour and twenty minute show. Sound was great , and musically they were spot on. If you really like the act , I would not hesitate to buy tickets for the show. I would not personally book a cruise to see any performer unless it was Carrie Underwood ! :-)

We saw Lady A on the Breeze, and was a fantastic concert. Also in nose bleeds against the wall!

On our cruise were a final blackjack tournament and slot tournament. A whole lot of casino guests with comps for the concert received premium seats. Plus during the week there were drawings for the concert as well.

Even though we were at the top we had a good view of stage, and sound quality was good. It felt intimate.

I saw someone posted the show was 20 minutes. Do all the singers/bands sing for only 20 minutes. To me it wouldn't be worth the $75 I am looking at for 20 minutes.

1 hour & 20 minutes or

80 minutes

  • 5 months later...

When you say "nose-bleed" where are you at? Are you in the main theater on the ship, where they preform the nightlty shows? Or are you off the ship in Nassau somewhere?

IF you do not attend the concert, were you allowed to stay off the ship until the end? (extended time)

Tim McGraw is $80 on our cruise, seems kinda high? What are your thoughts?

(Vip is $300!!!)

It may be high, but look who the performer is. It will be sold out.

That actually sounds cheap for Tim McGraw - I would expect to pay $100-$150 at LEAST to see him in our local arena. Miranda Lambert was just here and her tickets were at least in that price range. $300 for VIP passes sounds about right to me if it involves a meet and greet.
