Port Canaveral Activities

Hello,

 

We are sailing on the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore (less than a month to go) and we will be stopping at Port Canaveral for a day. I have a couple of questions about this.

 

1) Where will the ship dock. Will it use the Carnival terminal on the North side of the Port or will it dock somewhere on the South side of the port.

 

2) has anyone been here: http://afspacemuseum.org/historycenter/ It is free and it looks like it is less than a mile walk from the carnival terminal. Is this walkable

 

3) How easy is it to get on and off the ship. I was thinking of going to the airforce space museum in the morning, coming back to the ship for lunch and then going to the beach. Is this doable, or will there be an hour wait to clear customs coming on and off the ship.

 

4) Looking at going to the beach at Jetty park. Is there any public transportation within Port Canaveral? Is it possible even to walk there? Otherwise is there any suggested cab to use to get there and back.

If you go first to port canaveral after Baltimore customs is not involved.

 

Can dock at any location at port canaveral. Last cruise out of canaveral we left from one dock and came back at another.

 

I dont believe any beaches are walking distance.
