Has anyone used smiths for airports from the cruise ship to Heathrow airport?

I was quoted about 50 pounds cheaper then other companies so I figured I would ask my fellow cruisers if they no anything about this company

We have always used smiths for airports and have them reserved again for our trip in August. Very happy with their service! Prompt, nice vehicles, friendly and quick to respond to emails. Recommend them highly!

There is no rule to follow. It would be normal to round the fare up by a fiver or so, especially if the driver was friendly and helpful. £10 would be the maximum and in the unlikely event that the driver was surly and uncooperative, you would give him nothing.

 

In the UK, tips are the icing on the cake, not part of the wage.

We've used Simply Airports for a couple of years now, and we've been extremely satisfied with them. Last year, our flight was 3 hrs. late arriving at 1 a.m., and our driver was there despite the late hour.

 

My cousin used Smith's from LHR to Southampton, and she was very happy with them.

Most taxi firms keep a live link to track any incoming flights in which they have an interest. Smith's for example are based in Southampton which is 1½ to 2 hours from Heathrow. For a flight from The USA or Canada, they will know in good time when to set off (or whether to have a driver already there having dropped someone off).
