cruzn buckeye Posted February 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2016 I booked at a casino rate. I forgot to book ES and price match to casino rate. If the rate drops will the casino honor that, and perhaps upgrade my cabin? Anyone with this experience, please reply. Thanks:)
firemanbobswife Posted February 8, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2016 The casino cash will be yours no matter what. However normal price drop rules will still apply. Is it too late to price match to ES and then back to the casino rate? Or is the casino rate you booked under gone now?

Thanks:) If your casino offer is still available and you are not past final payment due date, cancel the booking and rebook at the early saver rate and then immediately price match to the casino rate. If that isn't possible, you should be able to price match up until final payment date under the casino offer. After that any possible upgrades are at Carnival's discretion and may or may not happen. BigB0882 Posted February 8, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2016 I am confused. If they booked at the Casino Rate then what is the benefit of canceling to book at ES rate and then price matching to Casino Rate? I can't imagine you will ever receive a price lower than a Casino Rate when you factor in the casino cash and already reduced fares. Maybe I am just not understanding what you all are saying to do. Because with ES you can get price drops till right before sailing. You probably won't get a better rate, but you never know. topspin1267 Posted February 8, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2016 If you book ES you may not get the casino cash or any other perks of the casino rate
robin13 Posted February 8, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2016 I booked the Casino rate but had to put down $500 deposit. The people I am sailing with did the ES rate and got to put down $99 deposit. After a week I decided to change from the casino rate and go with the ES rate. My TA cancelled my first booking and then rebooked me with the ES rate. It really bothered me that I had to put down $500 and since final payment was due for another cruise in April I am glad that I changed. I was only getting $40 and the casino rate was just $60 less than the ES rate. Hopefully I will be able to upgrade or get some price drops before the cruise in September. seamusdad Posted February 8, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 8, 2016 I booked a cruise with ES for October, a week later received a casino offer for $75pp plus $100 obc. Called and it was honored as well as upgraded my cabin. Even booked another one at the same casino rate. Don't expect there to be a cheaper price...lol. Try calling. this is what I did, booked the casino rate, then a few weeks later checked the casino rate and found it had gone down by 60.00. Called pvp and she adjusted the fare for me. Still casino rate, and still before final payment. I think you can do this until mar 3, when this casino offer is finished. OP, I would call, but do so asap. I got the casino rate for my cruise on Breeze. Originally I had an aft wrap for $1800, but the price kept dropping because of the casino rate. It ended up at $11xx. ish and I had around $740 in OBC because of several times that the casino rate dropped.

Ended up calling like yall said and got the price reduced. Booked on a casino offer. This is before final payment date. My understanding is next time i should book early saver then price match to casino that way i can price match all the way until the day b4 the cruise correct?
