crosstown1 Posted February 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2016 Just got off the Imagination on 2/3, and played enough in the casino to get a free cruise offer! I was able to book the Miracle on 3/5, obstructed view french-door for the offer, but since I had the time available, I just booked the 2/27 Miracle cruise! Different cabins, but exact same location, one deck apart. I'm actually going solo this time, and am really excited for this. While not new to cruising, this is my first B2B... I did search some of the threads, but wanted to see if anyone has done a B2B out of Long Beach and knows how the process works!

Canadian_J Posted February 10, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2016 Never done it out of LGB, but I have no reason to believe it would be much different than at any other port. I've done two B2B's and it was super smooth both times. Generally, you get a note by the second to last night of the cruise informing you of the process. You have the option to disembark and treat LGB as a port, then re-embark at your leisure (thru an expedited lane). Or you can choose to stay on board. If you stay on board, you'll be told when/where to go on "turnover" day. Generally the lobby around 10am. You'll be met by an officer who will issue you your new cards. Then once all pax have disembarked, they'll escort you to customs. Customs is very basic for this, they basically just take your card. Then the officer who brought you down, will march you back up to the ship. No security, no check in, no hassle! On our last cruise they took our picture when we re-boarded and we got a printed copy free of charge. They also gave us champagne when we re-boarded which was a lovely tough. From there, you have about 45-60min before they begin boarding. If you changed rooms, the stewards will have assisted you in moving your things. We did this once and they were very helpful, didn't even need to fully re-pack (kept things on hangars, for example). All and all, very easy to do and kind of fun on the "turnover" day. Would love to do another B2B. Great way to create a unique and longer itinerary. Enjoy!
