FloatingSunGoddess Posted February 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2016 When you own Carnival stock and qualify for the on board credit, can you use that multiple times per year on different cruises? Are they phasing this benefit out (I noticed the current announcement is good for cruises through July 31, 2016 or do they reissue announcements each year?) Thanks for any info you may have :)
pops72106 Posted February 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2016 You can use it on every cruise that you pay for. They renew every year their policies at the meeting in July
SkyMaster Posted February 10, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2016 POP's is right. You can use it on each, and every Carnival, or Carnival owned ship you sail. (Just got it on my next Princess cruise..) ;) It's a GREAT benefit, and yes, it's been renewed each and every year. Let's hope they keep doing that! "SKY"
NavarreCruiser Posted February 10, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2016 Agree with both the above posts. The renewal of this benefit usually shows up on Carnival's shareholder site in March or April.

crdtrnr Posted February 11, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 11, 2016 How did you get that...? When we have a casino rate or a free cruise (won)..They shut me down, no shareholder credit for you...
KatPem Posted February 12, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 12, 2016 We got a bounce back offer and paid to upgrade to a balcony and were able to get the shareholder credit.
Rod in Az Posted February 12, 2016 #11 Share Posted February 12, 2016 The only cruise we couldn't get it on was a "free cruise". I won a cruise in the "comment card drawing" on previous cruise, and because all I paid was tax and port fees, I couldn't use the shareholder benefit. Ive never been denied, or even questioned on any other rate.
sunshine002 Posted February 12, 2016 #12 Share Posted February 12, 2016 We even got the shareholder credit on a free cruise! :D When was this, they wouldn't give it to me since they said it was a free cruise. (this was last year)
winddawn Posted February 12, 2016 #13 Share Posted February 12, 2016 I get the shareholder credit every time I cruise and always cruise on a casino reduced fare or free. The OP should also know that CCL stock has historically paid a dividend quarterly which is another plus.
