winddawn Posted February 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2016 Does anyone recieve free cruises anymore and them not be sold out before you even get the offer? So frustrated with carnival and how they have up pricing on cruising and not giving offer Like they use to and Yes we have the Play.😡😡 Casino offers are capacity controlled. What is available to you can change during the period of the offer. I got a free inside cabin bounce back offer last month on the last night of my cruise. When I got home and checked online what was available, I picked a sailing after checking airfare prices. When I attempted to book the cruise, that sail date/ship was already gone. By the next day though there were more ships/sail dates available than what I had originally seen in the offer online. When I saw one I was interested in, I didn't wait but booked it immediately through my PVP. So keep checking online until the expiration date of the offer. Availability can change at any time--either for the better or the worse. I understand your frustration though. I got a casino offer in snail mail last year from HAL for a free cruise. I called immediately to try to book, but when I called every ship and sail date in the offer were already gone. So basically the so-called offer I got from HAL was nothing more than a tease and a let-down. I was disappointed and felt like it wasn't a very good business decision on HALs part to treat a customer that way. And I have since ignored all the marketing they've sent me. Unlike Carnival, you cannot see HALs casino offers online. So whoever happens to get the snail mail offer first has an advantage over someone whose snail mail comes later (something the customer has no control over). Good luck! And I agree Carnival's pricing is increasing overall. I think that is an industry trend though and not just Carnival. I recently read an article here on Cruise Critic stating Royal Caribbean is doing away with last minute discounts to fill empty cabins except for the shortest cruises-like 3 or 4 day cruises only. I guess we'll have to stay tuned to see whether that strategy works for them.
rok233 Posted February 11, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2016 Carnival is great with the free cruise offers. :) I have free interior offers, free Premier offers and free pack and play offer. Pretty much unlimited choices. I already have two free cruises booked for May and will be booking another two for August. :)
LaCal Posted February 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2016 They've been sending us lots. Most recently were 2 premier casino offers one soon after the last expired....we booked March on the conquest and Oct on the Vista both with a Free Ocean View and great casino cash......This last offer expires Feb 18th so I'm curious what might be next
Frank12 Posted February 11, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 11, 2016 They go fast. You have to log in and check your offers often. Don't wait for them to send you the offer. Be proactive! :)
moxie99 Posted February 11, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 11, 2016 Free inside offer from the casino - I had a cruise picked before I left the ship that morning and had it booked the day we returned home - sailing again in March. Upgraded to a window but other than that worked for us!
elainmir Posted February 11, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 11, 2016 We got our bounce back offer on our January 28th cruise, we came home and had it booked within 3 days. There were several from the three ports we wanted. As luck would have it there was one during my spring break from school! SWEET! As long as Carnival hands them out like candy I'll play all day in their casino!
KatPem Posted February 12, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Keep checking! My husband has had a few casino offers and I would check every day and there would be different dates and ships available...but if you see one you like, book it cause it probably won't be there the next time you look! We learned that mistake, ended up ok in the long run but missed a couple cause we thought about it too long.
MAGNUM PI Posted February 12, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 12, 2016 We have only taken one Carnival cruise, out of the seven Caribbean cruises. But Carnival offered us TWO free cruises! Their explanation was that we had a casino card, on that one cruise.
jesskuhmarie Posted February 12, 2016 #11 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Can someone tell me what this is and how it works? Is it for big spenders in the casino or how do I go about getting these free cruises
R2D24727 Posted February 12, 2016 #12 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Bounce back free cruise offers are given out the last night of the cruise. If you achieve a certain amount of points... $volume of betting over the duration of the cruise. We used our offer and combined it with a cruise we won on a Breeze Ultra cruise to create a 20 day B2B on the Vista in May. Have to pay port fees and taxes....about $450. The offers are out there.....usally based on play.
MAGNUM PI Posted February 12, 2016 #13 Share Posted February 12, 2016 We have only taken one Carnival cruise. One day in the snail mail, we received a postcard from Carnival, offering a free cruise. I initially thought it was a scam. But I found that it was legitimate; actually had two cruises offered. We booked them; later had to cancel due to health problems. Carnival said the offer was because we had a casino card previously.
MAGNUM PI Posted February 12, 2016 #14 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Also, we are NOT "high rollers" in the casino. The offer we received in the mail, came a few YEARS, since our only previous Carnival cruise. It was not based on our point play, as we spent little money in the casino, but did use their casino card. I was astonished to have received the offer. I had B2B cruises booked, from it. How little is little in terms of the casino and to use the casino, do you need a casino card? Is there a cost involved in getting one?
coz09 Posted February 13, 2016 #16 Share Posted February 13, 2016 I have gotten discounted casino rates, but not free cruises. What is the casino card?
Cruisit Posted February 13, 2016 #17 Share Posted February 13, 2016 How much would you say you spend in the casino every trip? Like what 'qualifies' you for some of these offers?
OHIOHAWKSDAD Posted February 14, 2016 #18 Share Posted February 14, 2016 I would say if you spend 400 per day in casino you would get the bounce back. My wife received bounce back on last two cruises, that's about what she spends per day.

deetrayn Posted February 14, 2016 #20 Share Posted February 14, 2016 Yes, my aunt and uncle get them all the time. As soon as she receives a free cruise offer, she'll call me or other family members to find out which next cruise we are booked on, and then she books it (providing it's within the time frame the offer is for) using said offer and goes with us. The rest of us pay regular cruise fares, but we're also not in the casino spending money like my aunt and uncle do. Sometimes they go without us. They are going on the Sunshine next week on a 13 day journey cruise, and only had to pay the taxes and port fees. I'm jealous and wish I was going. Although, does that mean putting a new $400 dollars on the card each day (I assume that means the $400 from the day before was lost)? Or could I put $400 on the first day, cash out (say I cash out even or make a little money), then put that same $400 on it the next day, would that work? I don't know if I'm making sense but basically if I were to only spend $400 and not actually lose the money but break even and cash it out and start over with it each day? seamusdad Posted February 14, 2016 #22 Share Posted February 14, 2016 I have gone on 6 cruises since 2014 and have 2 booked for 2016 so far. Some were free some were from $25 for inside or $100 for balcony with obc. I do not lose $400 per day. $100 per day is my limit. I am actually ahead in the winnings. wyobean Posted February 14, 2016 #23 Share Posted February 14, 2016 Yes, some people win, but what is not being said is that likely the gamblers are paying more for their cruise in the long run than the rest of us.

It is,based on how much you play not how much money you put in. So if you put the same money in that you cash out without playing you will not get more points. Not when for example I paid $240 plus, $100 obc for an L-shaped balcony room June 2015 on a 7 day on Freedom and lost all of $140 and had over 11k points bounce back offer a free steakhose dinner bottle of wine, champagne on drinks card. I always check what the price of my room would have been without the casino offer for that one it would have been $2500. By tje way that's the most I have lost on any of my 6 casino offer cruises.
