Experienced cruisers!!! How safe is it taking

Recommended Posts

Visited both islands on my last cruise, with my friend, we are both women in our early 60's and we did a tour of St Thomas with a cab driver and he was great , told us much history of the island and let us stop whereever, it cost us $20. each, but plus tip. He was great and never anything but safe, also did the same thing in Nassau. Have a great time. Both islands love tourists, we are there bread and butter.

On both islands when you leave the ship there will be many taxis lined up offering tours. In Nassau they use minivans, and in St. Thomas they're open air minibus "thingys" - for the lack of a better term.

They're perfectly safe in both areas, and you won't be all alone. They fill them up and give you the same tours you can get on the ship, but for less money.
