St Kitts or St Maarten beach day?

I remember reading some place about Little Divi Beach on St Maarten.??? But it looks like that is a resort. Can you take a taxi there and rent chairs as well on that beach? Does anyone have any reports or info on that one? it looks nice as well......

Little Bay is a great beach in St Maarten. The Divi Little Bay resort is there but the beach is technically public so anyone can go. If you enter the beach near the Divi front desk to the right you'll find a place to rent lounge chairs and umbrellas if you choose. The resort has a bar/restaurant overlooking the beach where you can get food and drinks. We've stayed at Divi on trips to St Maarten and love the beach there.

There is not even a contest between the two islands when it comes to beaches. We know about a half dozen excellent beaches on St Maarten (some that get no cruise ship passengers) and are not impressed by any of the beaches on St Kitts. In fact, on our most recent (December) visit to St Kitts are previously favorite little beach (Shipwreck) has become a mere tiny patch of sand. St Maarten is a place we will sometimes spend a week (in a condo) and love every minute....but we would never visit St Kitts except that it happens to be a port on a cruise we take every year.

We were in St. Martin and went on the Capt. Bob's excursion which took us to the other side of the island, included a great lunch and had a great day!
