How much is a taxi from Orlando Intnl Airport to Port Canaveral? Thinking of taking a cruise in August on Freedom of the Seas.

We did a one-way rental 2 years ago for our Freedom cruise and found it much less expensive than a taxi. The rental car agencies do not surcharge for this route as they would others. Usually, one-way rentals cost significantly more.

 

Either way, you have options including shuttles as well.

Last I heard, taxis were in the range of $80 to $100.

 

I also recommend a one-way car rental. If that does not appeal to you, and you have less than 4 people in your party, try Cortrans shuttle, for $20 per person.

Four years ago, we booked a rental car. It was cheaper to park it at the hotel for the week than any other option we could find.

A taxi would be extremely expensive - it's a long drive, about an hour in good traffic (and traffic is often NOT good).

 

You would do better to look into group shuttles that can be prebooked, or some of the tourist buses. One-way car rentals are also a good option (the airport has every rental agency in existence, and I understand that the cruise port has most of them nearby).
