beachbum53 Posted February 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Do the cove's typically sell out quickly? Anyone ever get price drops on a cove? We have found that by booking our cruise as soon as possible, using Early Saver, we get the cabin we want, and usually at the lowest price. It's hard to say whether a certain category (except for Aft cabins) sells out quickly. It depends on the itinerary and time of year. Price drops may occur if a certain category (in this case, cove balconies) isn't selling well, but I don't think Carnival has much trouble in filling them up. They're very popular. When choosing your cabin, study the deck plans closely. Try to avoid those directly below the galley, to avoid the noise from above. The cove balcony cabin we had on the Breeze was just below the Excursions desk (port side), and had no noise issues from above.

marty1950 Posted February 24, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2016 We are going on carnival magic in a cove balcony, Sept 10, 2016 and our room just dropped 80 dollars. We called our TA and she contacted Carnival, and we received a price drop of 80 dollars. We booked EARLY SAVER rate. Gary:p

camper49 Posted February 24, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Looks like you are under the Galley. I was thinking it is forward of the galley.
Viesczy Posted February 24, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Depending on where under the galley you might run into a noise in the AM to nearly no noise at all. Just take some ear plugs if you're a light sleeper and enjoy your cove!
beachbum53 Posted February 24, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 24, 2016 I was thinking it is forward of the galley. You are correct. It is forward of the galley, located below the Northern Lights Dining Room. Looks like you'll be okay there.
Tannison Posted February 24, 2016 #11 Share Posted February 24, 2016 I've booked coves on the Breeze and Magic and gotten price drops on each one. I've found that because there are so many balconies on those ships, the price does tend to drop to fill cabins. We always book one cabin with 2 people and one with 3 people and the 3 person cabin always drops much more than the 2 person cabin. That's just my experience though. ...others may be different. You are right. I lined it up between the wrong elevators on the Lobby Deck.
