Funniest thing you have ever seen on a ship?

HI,

My sister-in-law was on the Mill this past spring. She told me about an incident with a woman who was looking over the railing near the pool and her skirt was blowing up behind her. The woman had nothing on under the skirt and she seemed unaware that her skirt was blowing almost straight up- revealing her behind to the entire deck!

What have you guys ever seen on a ship??

More and more women seem to be "going Commando" these days.

Oddest thing we saw, way back in '89 on the old Sea Princess (originally Kungsholm, later Victoria, now Mona Lisa) was a young man, early 20s, travelling with his mother, who three meals a day, 15 night voyage, ate steak, french fries, and a coke! Every night at supper, he wore a bow tie that matched the dress his mother was wearing. Truly an odd couple!

Hey,

My 2 funnies -

1) Very large young woman in bikini bending over at the waist and BIKINI becoming thong oops becoming disappearing bikini.

2) going to orient beach (topless / nude ) then running into the people back on the ship and the funny looks that are exchanged.

While working on the crown princess back in '96 i was in stitches to see one of those mobility scooters out of control and the little old lady hanging on for dear life as she sped past the intemezzo bar

My favorite was a few years back on the Crown was we watched an older gentleman as he entered Flipper's Bar/Pool very deliberately stop and remove his shoes and belt. He carefully placed them on the edge away from the water and proceeded to walk down the stairs into the bar/pool with his pants on. :D

And your SIL thought that was an "accident" and the woman didn't know? Hmmm...

On the Golden Princess, European '03, a very elegantly dressed elderly lady left the ladies' room with a trail of toilet paper coming from one of her shoes. Immediately an assistant cruise director walked behind her and very nonchalantly stepped on the paper without her ever knowing. This lady pleasantly chatted to her companions without ever knowing her situation. Handled very classy, but was very humerous for those of us who watched.

Years ago, (many years ago) on the Norway, we kept seeing this couple that were always dressed exactly alike. Same polo shirt, same shorts. Same linen pants, same Hawaiian shirts. Same cargo-type shorts, same T-shirt. These guys probably changed clothes 5 times a day, and all they ever did was stroll around the decks! His ties even matched her dress fabric. Wierd!

While working on the Original Star P in the caribbean I had a lovely Old Dear come up to me and say....

" been taking the mosqui tablets every day & plugging in the machine but I still keep gettin bitten!"

Asked her if she was inserting the blue tablets into the plug-in or taking them oral?

"taking them oral" was her reply.

Took her to see the onboard Doctor straightaway. She was fine, but we watched her closely that cruise incase she turned blue, the same colour as the tablets.....lol

The funniest thing we have seen (to date!) was on the Grand Princess this spring where there was an older "gentleman" having the time of his life dancing in the bars and on the hot tub platforms in his bathrobe and a THONG!! He would do leaps and pirouettes and twirl around to his heart's content. After a few days he was asked to cease and desist......much to the dismay of some little old ladies who were overheard begging him to dance again!!!

:D The funniest thing I saw was right off the ship right at the dock. I was in St Lucia waiting for the Pitons tour. A lady (?) was walking to the ship in a one pice bathing suit with a towel wrapped around her neck, carrying a beer in one hand and a squirt gun in the other with 2 children following her dressed the same way.

The lady stopped, kind of swaying turned and open fired the squirt gun on a very nice looking gentleman dressed in a nice back shirt and pressed khaki shorts. I could not believe what I was seeing. The gentleman got up and was attempting to after her and ask her what gives when along comes the man of the family several yards behind the other 3. After seeing him he just waved them off and returned to his seat where he was waiting.

I turned to the people next me and said did you see what I just saw and we all realiazed this really did happen and bust out laughing. What a family of idiots. I only saw them one more time and they were coming back from St Maarten same dress and scenario except did not see the squirt gun this time.

We had 1 & maybe a 1/2 funny encounter on our last cruise. The first was when the room service gentleman rushed past us with just a rediwhip can on his cart. I had to ask him if he was heading to the honeymoon cabin just down the hall. He cracked up and almost put his cart in into the wall. The next sighting was on formal night. An elderly gentleman walk into the bar dressed to the nines from the waist up. Below that he only had on boxer shorts, black socks and shoes. He was escorted out of there quickly so it may have been more tragic than funny. We never found out the rest of that story.

I remember my first contract on the Crown, back in '96. the captains we;come aboard party, a woman had obviously bought a dress from the boutique, looked nice, except for the huge price tag hanging out - she had forgotten to cut it out.
