Hi, we are on dream on 6th march for a week, theres an important football game I want to see on the 10th while we are docked in belize, is there a sports bar on board that might show it or maybe a bar in belize might have it on , kick off will be 2pm in belize, I know its a strange one, but any help would be appreciated, thank you

Bit of a stretch to call the Europa League "important" isn't it? ;)

The Dream doesn't have a sports bar, but the Casino Bar usually has sports on. If there are no other games going on, then there is a chance it will be on. There are a few bars in the port area of Belize, and I know that the Bearded Clam has TVs, but I don't know if they will show it. The last time I was there, the TV reception wasn't all that great.

As to the thread title, most of the bars in Belize will have free wifi with a drink or food purchase, but it can be a bit slow. There is also a possibility that it is on the TV in you cabin, so you can always check that too.

In all seriousness, if you're wanting to watch Liverpool-United or Spurs-BVB, there's a really good chance you'll be able to find it on the ship. I know on past cruises, I have gotten to watch Champions League and Europa League soccer while on the ship.

Cheers lads, it didnt mean much till this afternoon, then we drew the scousers, im hoping to go back to the ship to watch, if not find a bar were they are showing it, or has decent wifi were I can watch on my tablet, ill be gutted if I miss it, thanks

In that case... I'd suggest taking an excursion that day. Maybe cave tubing? No chance of catching the game there. And, you'll enjoy your vacation much more if you miss the drubbing Coutinho and Sturridge put on LVG's boys!

The ship casino bar ahs the ESPN channels.

I think in Belize you're more likely to find Central/South American soccer. But being former Prisoners of Mother England , they could well carry an affinity for the ole sod!

If Bearded Clam or Wet Lizard don't carry it, go outside the port, turn left, walk to and across the swing bridge hang left and check to see if Bird's Isle is carrying the match.

Whether you see it or not, have a good cruise!:)

Ye im hoping because is 2 in the afternoon that there wont be much live u.s sport on, I think espn show football over here, and ill go to the casino and ask there beforehand. Do the tenders go to and from shore all day so we could spend a few hours in belize or is it just a morning and evening thing, thanks

Yes. Tenders go back and forth all day long. You shouldn't have any problem getting off the ship and checking out the port a bit and then getting back on before 2. Make sure you check out the liquor store in the port. They give lots of free samples of locally made rum and other liquors. They're really pretty good and you can only get them there. The Travelers 5-year barrel aged rum is delicious and a great bargain.

I cruised during the World Cup and Carnival did not show any of the games. They were broadcast on ESPN. I did find a bar in Belize to watch most of the game. I did buy a beer or 2 but some were watching with no purchase. The "sports bar" back on the Dream would scroll updates of the game so I could find out what the final score was. Very, very disappointed with Carnival on this subject. I would not expect to find the game shown on the ship.
