Dining package - on ship only?

Can the dining package only be bought on the actual ship?

On my Cruise Planner, I don't select the restaurants. I select 3, 4, or 5 night Dining Package. Then it asks me to pick the first night and time.

No, that was for a different ship.

 

But my understanding of the dining package is you don't get to pick everything ahead of time. The reason they give you a discount is that you have to make some restaurant and dining time choices on board.

On my cruise planner it mentions the package but it isn't there to select it only allows me to reserve restaurants in the normal way :confused:

If you would not end up talking to Guatemala, I'd advise you to call C&A. I can't explain why you cannot select the package, but it soulds like a website issue.
