carmi0018 Posted February 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2016 Hi there people, put together a sort of last minute trip and even though I've been there, I'm having difficulty weeding thorough the posts in the Belize forum. If someone can simply tell me which cay is closest (meaning shortest boat ride-least expensive) that my family of 4(2 adults,17yrs and 10 year old) that has a beach and shore snorkeling? Snorkeling, isn't the priority as we will in Cozumel, just want a clean beach without too many rocks. Last time we went to Cay Caulker (I think) which was a 45 minute boat ride. Looking for something closer. A simple short answer would be greatly appreciated! PS-we don't need a cruise excursion, we can take a water taxi at the pier. Thanks!!! mrsfuzzmo Posted February 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2016 I'm not sure the water taxi goes to any cayes except Caye Caulker and Ambergris Caye, which is farther than Caulker. Other than one of those, I think you 'd need to do a tour/excursion.
Aggies24 Posted February 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2016 We are going try Goffs Cay. Belize cruise excursions is the cheapest for $40. Never been but this is what I found while researching on here.

Rare crewsweeper Posted March 1, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 1, 2016 Goff's Caye is a little closer than Caye Caulker, but not by much, depending on the type of vessel used. You do need to be on an excursion to get there. Threads here describe the caye and various vendors used.
