Preparing for 1st river cruise on viking. Are flight arrives at 9am in Amsterdam We have Viking transportation to the ship. When are the cabins available?

Preparing for 1st river cruise on viking. Are flight arrives at 9am in Amsterdam We have Viking transportation to the ship. When are the cabins available?

 

Probably not until lunch time. I haven't sailed on Viking but I think it's pretty common practice that on embarkation day they'll be delivering homebound passengers to the airport and picking up outbound passengers at the same time. With Vantage (Amsterdam) they picked us up around 9 and took us to a hotel for coffee and cake, then on a short bus tour of the city and finally to the ship around noon for lunch and all cabins were ready at that time.
