The shows usually start at 8.30 and 10.30 pm. The 2nd show is a repeat of the first show for late diners. There is normally a song/dance resident group called Headliners 2 or 3 times during a 12 day cruise, and then a comedian one or 2 nights and a singer or singers several times during the cruise. The acts can vary from being very good to average, we have seen some very funny comedians on Arcadia, the Headliners usually do songs from shows or songs from famous groups,we think they are a bit old fashioned, depends what you like. The Palladium theatre on Arcadia is very nice but would advise you to get there at least 25 mins before the start to guarantee a seat.

Enjoy

Go on the bbc iplayer and look for SEA CITY ( bbc 2 )......it is a documentary about Southampton port and features as an aside the recruitment and training of the Headliners, the entertainers for the P and O cruise line.

They are what you get.

We were on Arcadia last July - and never had a problem getting a seat for the second show even arriving a few minutes before the start of the show as was often the case due to late sitting for dining. There were always seats in the middle of rows - ok you might have to get people to move a bit so that you can get there but if they wont move up then thats just tough! Also, its worth entering the theatre from one of the two lower deck entrances as there were often seats nearer to the stage.
