Vexorg Posted March 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2016 (edited) We have four boarding a cruise on Vision of the Seas following a week at Disney World, and it looks like the most cost effective way of getting everyone from there to Tampa is a one-way minivan rental. A couple of us are also going to need a car rental after the cruise as well. Can someone confirm if there are still rental car agencies (I've heard National / Alamo does it, not sure about others) that offer shuttles from TPA to the Tampa cruise port? I've seen some earlier posts on this subject, but the newest one I can find is from 2012, so I just want to double check and see if the info is still valid. I also know some rental agencies (Hertz) have locations near the cruise port so that might be an option too. JohninDC Posted March 1, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2016 I think Nation stopped their shuttle a few years ago. A taxi between TPA and the port costs $25+tip. Avis and Hertz have local hotel office locations within a couple of blocks of the port. I would also check with the downtown Enterprise locations. Vexorg Posted March 9, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted March 9, 2016 (edited) After figuring out the rental car options, it looks like a one-way rental car from Disney World being returned at the Westin Harbor Island Alamo location (about a mile from the cruise pier) is actually cheaper than returning it at TPA anyway, so that's what we went with.
