pinkmagnolia Posted March 7, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2016 What would be the earliest you'd be comfortable with a flight out of MCO? The ship is scheduled to arrive at Port Canaveral at 8:00 AM. I'm thinking 11:30 - thoughts?

beerman2 Posted March 8, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 8, 2016 Good Luck! Just because you dock at 8:00, what if customs doesn't clear the ship right away. Say you don't get off ,clear port customs, until 9:15. Maybe another 10-15 minutes to get transportation to MCO. Now you are talking 10:30 arrival. Then clear security for a 11:30 flight. Hope you manage your stress well.

JohninDC Posted March 8, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 8, 2016 (edited) Noon or later is my general advice. You need to be at MCO 90 minutes prior to departure (earlier is better - TSA at MCO can be chaos :(), so for a noon flight that translates into arriving about 10-10:30. With the shuttle drive from PC taking just about an hour that means off the ship with bags and clear of customs/immigration by 9:00 or just after. Noon should be doable and will give you a little wiggle room - anything earlier is pushing it. Do you want to spend your cruise worried about making your flight home? We have actually enjoyed later afternoon departure times, which allowed us to rent a car and have lunch someplace fun instead of eating at the airport, but we are only looking at a 2 hour flight up the east coast. If you have a long flight or connections then I would shoot for close to noon. Good luck! :) Edited March 8, 2016 by JohninDC
Kamloops50 Posted March 8, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 8, 2016 What time does the cruise line recommend for the flight is a good guide.
