WIFI quality on the Getaway

Don't count on it wifi is dreadful 95% of the time.

The WiFi is fine for a cruise ship connection, it is not blazing fast but I have always been able to do all the work I needed to do while onboard.

Surprisingly, the WiFi on the Getaway is perfect. Its obviously not as fast as my connection at home, but it works very well. I found no dead spots anywhere on board. There were times when I had a slow connection, but with thousands of passengers using the same network, that will happen. It happens at home, at the office and with a cell phone too.

 

If you are planning to do work on vacation, Im positive you will not have any issues. If you need a flawless video conference, that might be another story. I spoke with other guests who streamed music and had no issues. YMMV

I was on the Getaway doing the Western Caribbean and while it was a bit slow, at times, it was much better than I expected. Always worked for me.
