emcollins3 Posted March 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2016 (edited) Looking for suggestions of favorite lunch spots in both Cassis and Eze. Of course, would love to enjoy the beautiful views but our main priority is always something local, authentic, and delicious (and if a good value to boot, even better). We will be visiting in late April. Thanks in advance for sharing your favorite spots! Edited March 10, 2016 by emcollins3

Rare marazul Posted March 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2016 Looking for suggestions of favorite lunch spots in both Cassis and Eze. Of course, would love to enjoy the beautiful views but our main priority is always something local, authentic, and delicious (and if a good value to boot, even better). We will be visiting in late April. Thanks in advance for sharing your favorite spots! In Cassis there are many restaurants along the port. For local, authentic, delicious and good value have the moules-frites and some local Cassis wine. Or the local grilled fish (dorade). Restaurants in Eze are expensive. Chateau Eza is wonderful and pricey, so is La Chevre d'Or. For more reasonable fare, there is an outdoor cafe at the top of the hill by the entrance to the gardens. It has a very good lunch. As usual, ask for the daily special - "plat du jour."

Rare marazul Posted April 30, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) Quantify expensive. And do these places take cards? They all take cc's. La Chevre d'Or: At le Cafe du Jardin, lunch is around 60 euros At Les Remparts: appetizers: around 25 euros Main courses:32 to 90 euros At the main restaurant: appetizers: 65 to 95 euros main courses: 75 to 95 euros desserts: 28 euros tasting menus: 205 or 240 euros Chateu d'Eza: appetizers: 34 to 42 euros main courses: 45 to 55 euros desserts: 25 euros Lunch tasting menu 52 or 62 euros (a bargain ...) Dinner tasting menu: 120 euros Quantified enough? For a nice lunch, way less than those two, go to the cafe at the top of the hill. Very nice and reasonable. If you want to splurge, you know where to go. They are both outstanding. For Cassis seafront restaurants, the plat du jour was around 12 euros a couple of years ago. And just about every restaurant in France has a website. Check them out. Edited May 1, 2016 by marazul
