caribbeingexcited Posted March 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2016 I have sailed out of Miami a few times and know that when I walk of the ship, there is a taxi stand on the curb that you request a cab from, wait in line and get your cab. This is how we usually travel to the airport following our cruise. This fall, I will be sailing for the first time from Port Everglades. I have a shuttle service to take me there but was curious about a ride back to the airport. Can anyone tell me if I will be able to just hail a cab at the pier or do I need something pre-scheduled? Thanks for any and all help!
WindsorFred Posted March 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2016 There is a stand, same routine as Miami.

RCmommy Posted March 11, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 11, 2016 Walked right out both times in 2015 and grabbed a cab with no wait at all. At the airport in 10 minutes. Loved it!
cmptrwiz Posted March 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 11, 2016 Maybe you could try Uber if available.
Singer4Him Posted March 11, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 11, 2016 When we sailed out of Everglades, there was a long line of taxis waiting to pick up their fares. We didn't have to wait any time and we were on our way.
ready2cruzagain Posted March 11, 2016 #7 Share Posted March 11, 2016 It is a LOT faster to catch a taxi at Ft. Lauderdale. Walk out and never had to wait. Miami, takes a while, wait in line and eventually you get one.
