Pregnant wife and the beverage packages

For our upcoming cruise we booked with the beverage package. However I do not drink and my wife will be 19 weeks pregnant. What are some things we can get to still take advantage of this?

You can get the frozen drinks without alcohol, plus sodas

Hopefully, you didn't choose to pay the gratuity/service charge on a perk you won't be using.

Was the beverage package the only choice when you booked? Did you consider the dining package? It might be a better fit.

Why not call NCL or your TA and inquire about changing the UBP to SDP.

I have a drink card for the casino but cannot drink alcohol due to meds.

 

I plan to drink sodas, fruit juice, virgin daquaris (heard banana is great, but strawberry also good), maybe virgin pina colada too!

I was told can make changes to "free" choices up until sail. If only one perk, change it to dining. If two perks allowed, either select soda as beverage for cheaper gratuities charge or switch to wifi minutes or port excursion.

As far as I know, you cannot elect to take the soda package instead of the UBP. If you choose the beverage package offer, the perk is the UBP. The soda package replaces the UBP if (and only if) the guest is under 21.

 

With all the non-drinkers who don't want the UBP, I think we would have heard by now if there was an option for guests over 21 to downgrade to the soda package in order to pay the lower service charge.
