distance and transporation SAN to port

You can probably see the ship from the airport, it's very cool.

 

If you're sitting on the left side of the plane you might even see the ship if it's in port when you arrive. It is about a 10 minute ride by taxi. Are you all flying in together? If so, you might want to check out a shuttle instead. They are both in the same area. What airline are you flying in on?

As a resident of San Diego, I am always amused when I drive by a freeway sign that reads:

 

CRUISE SHIPS, USE AIRPORT EXIT :)

 

The two are actually that close and you will see the ship from the left side of the plane as you land.
