melissasneu Posted October 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2005 Hi, Just booked a group of 14 sailing the Mercury out of SAN. Need to start planning ground transportation. Anyone know the distance and time it takes to get from airport to port? Does anyone have recommendations on mode? Melissa

Mr_Cruise Posted October 13, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2005 Correct, approximately 10 minutes. I took a taxi, less than $10.
Happy ks Posted October 13, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 13, 2005 You can probably see the ship from the airport, it's very cool.

If you're sitting on the left side of the plane you might even see the ship if it's in port when you arrive. It is about a 10 minute ride by taxi. Are you all flying in together? If so, you might want to check out a shuttle instead. They are both in the same area. What airline are you flying in on?
JLC@SD Posted October 18, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 18, 2005 As a resident of San Diego, I am always amused when I drive by a freeway sign that reads: CRUISE SHIPS, USE AIRPORT EXIT :) The two are actually that close and you will see the ship from the left side of the plane as you land.
