CruiseGal999 Posted July 29, 2017 #26 Share Posted July 29, 2017 You can request the ship to decorate inside the cabin for you. There is a nominal fee for this, but it's very nice. I did this for one of our anniversaries.
crystalspin Posted July 29, 2017 #27 Share Posted July 29, 2017 Fire is a real concern on any ship (good of you to think of it!) -- but they are always putting paper announcements and flyers in everyone's "mailbox" all up and down the halls so I don't think your magnet is a problem. Happy birthday to your FIL and great idea to identify their room. We finally started doing that for ourselves (and we are not 81!).
notentirelynormal Posted July 29, 2017 #28 Share Posted July 29, 2017 If you let the cruise ship itself know you want to celebrate this they will decorate the inside of the cabin and have a simple gift or two for them. However there is a cost for you to do this but it is worth it! This is not true on Princess. There is no package for them to decorate either inside or out. They will, however, put a happy anniversary or birthday sign and balloon on the outside of your cabin. It would never ever occur to me to ask my already overworked steward to decorate my cabin. Not unless a $100 bill was attached to the request.
