Your time dining, it is your vacation, dont put your self on a schedule, besides, sometimes when you check menu, you may just eat at lido deck or a specialty restaurant or may be something else going on that you would prefer to do and eat later ...:)

I find early dining gives us more options for the evenings as far as entertainment goes, since a lot of the scheduled entertainment happens during late dining (e.g. piano bar usually open at 9:00 while late dining is taking place and a lot of the music is 8ish) Late dining means we either forego evening activities or stay up late. With early we have the choice to retire late or early. Plus, for us, early is closer to the time we are used to eating ; we find we do better weight and health wise if we eat early. That said, we are going to try Anytime on our January cruise, as we will be traveling with friends who don't like fixed.

We have always done late dining except for our first couple of cruises.

When you have late dining, your DW can take her time getting ready after a hot day on the islands. Me, in and out of the shower and on to the casino while DW is getting ready. :)

As for missing shows, rarely if ever, have we missed a premier show in the main theater. They schedule them to accommodate early and late diners, as noted in the Fun Times. We also usually attend the early comedy show when the main theater show is a repeat or worse:eek:. After dinner we have time to go to the casino, piano bar, martini bar etc, before the late comedy shows.

On CCL, we used to get sushi between 5-7pm, now it's the Taste Bar. So we get a quick simple snack and a drink and relax for a bit...unless DW is still getting ready, then it is just me and on to the Casino!!:):)

I am sure that a lot of people enjoy both early and late dining for various reasons. It's just a matter of priorities for us.:)

I've done all three and I think we'll stick to early from here on out. I never felt rushed to get to dinner like some have said for early. With late we were always too tired to do much afterwards and usually ended up in bed earlier than with early seating or YTD.
