Has anyone ever had a guaranty BL but not issued a cabin number

Has anyone ever been told they are guaranteed a Balcony Cabin but not issued a cabin number until they get to the ship? If so how did that work out? Is it a problem? I was told that I am to tell the guys taking the luggage that i have not been assigned a cabin number yet and they will know where to look to find out what the cabin number is. Can anyone verify this is how it works????thanks

Yes, the porters at the pier will have the manifest and be able to give you tags to put on your luggage. Not a problem.

you will find out at the port or you can try calling your TA 3 days before the cruise.

My daughter, her family and I booked a guarantee balcony cabin.

I paid lowest price balcony prices and had a cat.9 balcony, which is on the Lido deck....We were right near the elevator which was what I wanted.

When my doc's arrived 3 weeks before our cruise 10/2/2005 I was surprised to see my cabin# on it. I was also told we would not know the cabin# until we got to the port.

Check your doc's when you get them.......That is how I found out my cabin#.
