cdoobiest Posted March 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2016 I know Haven guests get priority tenders, but do you get priority re-boarding back to boat. I read that some of the concierge will meet you at the dock but it sounds like it depends on the concierge. We are sailing Getaway in a few weeks. I think concierge is Robert. Also, when disembarking, can you use concierge to let you off anytime or is it set time for Haven guests. I don't have flight until 12:30 at FLL, so I figure if I get off at 9:30 to meet our private transport at 10, this should be good.
vicocala Posted March 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) No, we actually had to wait for another tender to arrive and debark before we were allowed on. It is first come, first served going back to the ship. As for the concierge you should probably be able to be one of the last off the ship. I would request it of him/her after boarding and find out. For us, we were told to meet at 7:30 for an escort off and to speak with him if it was different. Edited March 30, 2016 by vicocala
Lorey2007 Posted March 30, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 30, 2016 While waiting in line to board the tender at GSC I saw a gentlemen holding up a sign that said "Haven". This was this past February.
Johnny Bananas Posted March 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 30, 2016 I think it must depend on the concierge. We didn't have priority twice on GSC but have had it in Belize.
cmdchiefthom Posted March 30, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 30, 2016 I can't tell you about Grand Cayman, we missed that port aboard the Getaway last month, but at GSC, Haven guests were met at the boarding area, and escorted to the front of the tender line. ;)
Mistizoom Posted March 30, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) I saw a person holding a Haven sign when waiting in the very long tender line back to the Getaway in Grand Cayman two weeks ago. Edited March 30, 2016 by Mistizoom

For us, we were told to meet at 7:30 for an escort off and to speak with him if it was different. This is not accurate. When we were preparing to tender back from Grand Cayman, there was a huge line to get through security at the Getaway gate. A crew member held a sign that said "Haven". We walked past hundreds of people, and he personally walked us through security, to the front of the line, and directly onto the tender that was being loaded. I can't speak for GSC, because we missed that port due to high winds. For final disembarkation, my understanding was that the concierge would take all Haven guests who were ready off the ship as soon as it cleared customs, but if anyone was not ready, they would have to wait in line with everyone else. (This does not apply to those who walked off with their luggage, only those who had it delivered to the port). Our concierge took us down in the crew elevators and directly off the gangway. It was awesome. Jonathan
Zimomiller Posted March 30, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 30, 2016 We sailed the Getaway in January and confirm that this is indeed the case on Grand Cayman. We checked in with the concierge the day before to confirm what to do. Glad we did as the lines to get a tender back are insanely long. All we had to do is look for the Haven staff member with the Haven sign and he escorted us to the head of the line and off we went to the tenders easy peasy. My wife commented that she could feel a thousand knife wounds being stared into our backs from the rest of the line as they saw the way we were escorted ahead. With the prices you pay for the Haven I do not begrudge Haven passengers any special treatment they get. And even though the line was long it actually moved pretty quickly. If it is otherwise, we missed out. :(

vicocala Posted March 31, 2016 #12 Share Posted March 31, 2016 (edited) But Norwegian Spirit doesn't have a Haven. We were in a suite though with the same perks. We may of left before there was a need for someone with a sign as we were back on the ship by noon or so. That doesn't explain Cayman though. asubaru Posted March 31, 2016 #13 Share Posted March 31, 2016 My last experience in GC (on the Epic) was the concierge got us out of line and escorted on the ship. The line was huge...longest I have ever seen to get on/off a ship. It was 2 hours prior to departure. Concierge, or their staff, should escort you off anytime if they are available. You may have a brief wait. I have disembarked close to 10AM with their assistance. I think it's a good idea to let them know your intentions. I know Haven guests get priority tenders, but do you get priority re-boarding back to boat. I read that some of the concierge will meet you at the dock but it sounds like it depends on the concierge. Demonyte Posted March 31, 2016 #14 Share Posted March 31, 2016 But Norwegian Spirit doesn't have a Haven. Suite perks are the same for all full suites, Haven suites only have the access to Haven as an added bonus.

Suite perks are the same for all full suites, Haven suites only have the access to Haven as an added bonus. But my point is there wouldn't have been a person walking around with a "Haven" sign in Grand Cayman if the ship doesn't have a Haven. Seems much more obvious if there is a person walking around with a sign. Perhaps there are other arrangments they make for ships without a Haven. Since the OP was specifically asking about Haven accommodations, I think the point of difference is relevant.
