BermudaMom Posted March 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2016 Husband has asked if I could find out if the Royal Suites on the Silhouette have a coffee maker in them. If so, does anyone know if it's just a regular coffee maker or is it an expresso maker or what. If anyone can advise, it would be appreciated. Rare cruisestitch Posted March 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 30, 2016 I believe that you have to call the Butler to have coffees delivered to you.
need2bespoiled Posted March 31, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2016 (edited) There are no coffee makers in any suites unless there is one by some chance in the Reflection Suite (one in the fleet) or they've added them very recently, which I highly doubt. We ask the butler to leave a carafe of our chosen coffee (latte) every morning at 7:30, whenever we wake it is piping hot. az_tchr Posted March 31, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2016 Coffee makers are simply put a fire hazard. There are not and was told never will be any on board in the rooms. Do laugh a bit that hot pots are put in cabins on cruises out of the UK. cannot see the difference hazard wise.

Maybe not in Celebrity Cabins, but they are on other cruise lines, for example NCL has them. Happy sailing, Jenna
Rare cruisestitch Posted March 31, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 31, 2016 Celebrity negotiates its insurance costs based on not having kettles or coffee makers in rooms, and is apparently willing to bear the increase in premiums on some sailings (notably those which originate in Southampton) so there are kettles in staterooms on those cruises, but not on the vast majority of Celebrity cruises. Other cruise lines make different decisions.
