Can you walk from the cruise port in Le Harve to the gare routière / central station?

We're overnighting in le Harve on our Celebrity Silhouette cruise this June and see by Google Maps that it's about a half hour walk BUT they post a warning "This route has restricted usage or private roads."

So, what's the scoop? :p

For whatever reason on my googlemaps there's no "restricted usage" warning.

Probably because I'm an EU citizen :D

Same as many ports, access is restricted to those with a legitimate reason for being there. In the unlikely event that you're challenged your ship card will cover you.

The walk is level, but boring & industrial - and like all such places it's further than it looks.

I'd be lazy & jump a taxi.

You might want to do the same if its raining. ;)

JB :)

WOW Thanks for the instant answer!

AH! Of course, it's into a restricted area.... LOL!

Ya, we'll probably get a cab... what would that cost? (ball park)

We walked from our ship (Quai Roger Meunier) to Gare du Havre (train station) & caught the train to Rouen. Walk was easy - took us just a tad under a half hour. There was no restricted usage for pedestrians - we took the shortcut just south of the Citadelle Basin - also walked back to the ship at the end of our day.
