Norwegian Gem Bottled water question.

Getting ready to leave from New York on April 11th.

I planned on bringing a case of water with me. Now I'm hearing different things about bringing water on the ship. I know it has to be a closed case.

Does it have to be in my carry on or don't have to carry it?

Is there a fee for bringing water?

is there a limit to how much I can bring?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this.

Unless NY is different, it doesn't have to be a closed case, but each individual container (can or bottle) must have unbroken seals.

We load up soft drinks/sparkling water into a duffel bag, and put a luggage tag on it, along with our regular luggage.

It shows up along with the rest of it.

We cruised out of NY last October and had a case of water in a duffle bag with a luggage tag on it. The porters there didn't blink an eye and were very nice and personable. It showed up outside our cabin by 4 pm.

You can put a luggage tag on it and check it in. I use a carry-on packed with waters and a case of coke. It has never been a problem.

No Fee. I don't know or have I heard of a limit.

It was no problem at all my last cruise on the BA out of NY.
