laslomas Posted April 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2016 I have booked my first NCL cruise for 10 years. My last 3 cruises were with Celebrity and I loved their Café Al Bacio for leisurely morning coffee or afternoon tea with complimentary small cakes and pastries. Yum. I see that on the Jade there is Carlo's Bake Shop. Is this a similar concept? Are the cakes complimentary? I cannot find this information on the website. kandpsmom Posted April 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2016 If I remember correctly, the items there were not free of charge.
antiquehtr Posted April 6, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2016 Carlos Bake shop is not free.I personally did not think they were very good as they come in frozen and not worth the price.

There is a very small pastry case in the atrium bar/coffee shop. Coffee/tea and pastries are not free.
laslomas Posted April 6, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) Thanks for the responses. I am a little confused as under the 'Explore What's on Board Norwegian Jade' heading on the website it lists Carlo's Bake Shop, but then goes on to state it is available at the Café in the Atrium. So actually just a few cakes in the café then - and as you have informed me on an a la carte basis. Never mind, that will save a few calories, and OBC.
